“Squid Game” was released in September last year. It tells the story of desperate people who participate in a mysterious survival game to win KRW45.6 billion in prize money. They have to risk their lives in extreme games to become the last person standing. “Squid Game” became the first Korean drama to come in first on Netflix worldwide. The main actors were also shot to global stardom overnight.

In particular, Jung Ho Yeon had around 400,000 Instagram followers prior to the series’ release; after almost a year, the figure is currently at 21.14 million as of June 28. Since there has been no news about the female cast of the series, fans of the series are curious about who will be in Jung Ho Yeon’s place and leads the drama.

At the same time, the male actor lineup has been released. It includes Im Si Wan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Sung Hoon, and Yang Dong Geun. Shortly after, there was a rumor that Park Gyu Young, Kim Si Eun, Won Ji An, and Jo Yu Ri would join the second season of “Squid Game.”

Nonetheless, these actresses’ agencies have been secretive and stated they could not confirm anything.
