Han Ye-seul Candidly Talks about Younger Boyfriend: “Feels like We’ll Be Together for a Long Time”

On Jan 14th, a video featuring Han Ye-seul’s guest appearance was posted on the YouTube channel “Psick Univ.” 

Han Ye-seul first mentioned her guy friend, “I have a very close male friend. We’ve never dated or anything like that.” When the hosts suggested that he might have liked her, Han Ye-seul laughed and said, “He’s married. We’re still close. His wife is 20 years younger than me.”

Han Ye-seul, who is in a relationship with a younger man, revealed, “We go back and forth because our parents are in the US. My boyfriend really likes LA. He enjoys playing golf, and he loves everything about the nature of LA.”

Reminiscing about her high school days in the US, Han Ye-seul said, “I was a rebellious student. I really hated school. I was a good student until the first year, but I didn’t study from the second year onwards.” She then confessed, “I had my first boyfriend in the second year of high school.”

Regarding her path to becoming a celebrity, she said, “I had no plans and didn’t want it. I felt embarrassed to stand in front of the camera and didn’t like acting. I thought I was a talentless actress.” 

She continued, “The sitcom ‘Nonstop’ marked my debut. Through that series, I became famous, and I think I became an actress by doing various works.”

Han Ye-seul mentioned her boyfriend again, “I think I’ll be with him for a long time. We’ve known each other for 5 years, and officially dated for 4 years.” She also revealed her standard, “It’s not good if a man has a drinking habit.”

Reminiscing about when she first came to Korea, Han Ye-seul said, “I had strong opinions, and people didn’t like me. It was a conservative culture where young people found it difficult to talk about themselves. At that time, I received a lot of hate.”
