Han So Hee speaks up against the obsession with being thin, “Please take care of your health”

Actress Han So Hee shared her thoughts about the obsession with being thin, alongside various other TMIs.

On August 4th, actress Han So Hee conducted a live broadcast.

During the broadcast, Han So Hee said, “I’ve never contracted COVID-19 yet. Even though I work without a mask, I haven’t caught COVID-19, so I find it strange.”

Furthermore, Han So Hee revealed some TMI (tell me information) details, saying, “In the past, I changed all the furniture in my house to colorful ones, but recently I’m changing everything to all white. I’m actively placing orders. Colors are nice, but it feels a bit complicated, so I’m changing back to white. “

According to the actress, since she keeps suppressing herself during work, her MBTI has changed from INFP to INTJ. “Lately, I don’t cry. I’m not sad. Depending on the tension, it feels different, so I decided not to believe it”, she said.

The actress also mentioned that she bought a foldable phone since she likes pressing buttons. The phone is slow but convenient, so Han So Hee only uses it for messaging and calling. In addition, she, along with the staff, took several photos with it, and the results are actually decent.

She continued by mentioning “Gyeongseong Creature”, her upcoming drama which also stars Park Seo Joon. “We’re all working hard, pouring our heart and soul into it, so please wait a bit”, the actress said.

Furthermore, Han So Hee expressed her struggle, saying, “I have a photoshoot next week, and I want to snack so much. I’ll go crazy. If I just hold out, I can lose weight healthily, but I keep craving sweet things.”

Then, when fans mentioned that they want to be thin like her, Han So Hee seriously said, “Don’t try to be as thin as me. Please take care of your health.”

“I lose weight because my job requires both appearance and skills, otherwise I would have maintained a normal weight. I don’t think we should observe people merely as thin or fat”, the actress explained, adding, “Of course, it would be nice if the clothes I want to wear fit snuggly. However, don’t do it to the extent of harming health. I also diet because being on screen adds weight, but being thin doesn’t mean everything will be beautiful. You look beautiful when you’re healthy.”

In this way, Han So Hee, who is considered an icon of beauty, candidly addressed the current “obsession” with thinking that being thin equates to being pretty.
