Singer and actress Han Seung Yeon shows anger at the news of a male lion escaping from a private ranch and later being killed.
On August 14th, an article reported that a male lion escaped from a private ranch in Goryeong County, Gyeongsangbuk-do after being confined for 20 years. As the lion tried to hide in a nearby forest, however, it was detected and eventually killed within an hour.
Upon reading this article, Han Seung Yeon shows anger, saying, “After confining it for 20 years? Was it the best option?”
Han Seung Yeon, who has always shown exceptional affection for animals by volunteering at animal shelters, expresses a feeling of anger and sorrow at the unfortunate death of the male lion, which only wanted to seek freedom.
Meanwhile, according to Gyeongbuk Fire Headquarters and Goryeong County, on the 14th, at 7:24 AM, a male lion escaped from a private ranch.
Upon receiving the report and arriving at the scene, the police and fire authorities discovered the male lion in a forest near the ranch. Around 8:30 AM, they captured and killed it with a gun. The escaped male lion, which was illegally raised at the ranch, was reported to be around 20 years old.
