(G)I-DLE’s Yuqi speaks on women’s freedom to dress, “Girls wearing short skirts doesn’t mean it’s too revealing” 

Yuqi directly responded to a fan voicing their concerns about Yuqi’s outfit being “revealing”. 

On July 2nd, (G)I-DLE’s Yuqi updated her personal Weibo and Instagram with photos of herself dressed in sexy outfits. A fan left a comment under Yuqi’s Weibo post saying: “Baby! I think the 3rd and 5th photos are a bit revealing. Please be more careful. There are a lot of perverts here.”

To the fan’s concern, Yuqi replied, “No baby, it’s just prejudice. Girls wearing short skirts or showing a little bit of body doesn’t mean it’s too revealing. Girls showing some skin is not necessary to make you think that way.”

The female idol continued as she spread a positive message, “If you find yourself beautiful and feel satisfied with that, it’s good enough. We don’t need to care about how others perceive and judge us. We wear nice clothes and put on pretty makeup to make us prettier and feel confident. Just be yourself and be happy.”
