Full of spiteful remarks… Mnet’s “Boys Planet” is already expected to be more toxic than “Produce”
Mnet’s new audition program, which will air next month, is already drawing keen attention.
On Jan 27th, a preview for “Boys Planet” was posted on Mnet’s official YouTube channel.
In the video, singer Lee Seok Hoon, choreographer Choi Young Joon and more, who were active as trainers on Mnet’s “Produce 101 Season 2”, appeared as judges, attracting many viewers’ attention.
In addition, choreographers Lip J and Back Koo Young, who gained great popularity after appearing on Mnet’s “Street Woman Fighter” and “Street Man Fighter”, also participated in evaluating trainees.
EXID Solji, who was also a judge, said bitterly, “I think they need to do it again from the beginning.“
Lee Seok Hoon firmly told the trainees, “The singing level is very low. This is a place to choose singers.“
It was the same even after going through the evaluation and starting full-fledged training.
Back Koo Young made trainees nervous by making spiteful remarks such as “You can’t dance“, “My son can do it, too“…
Lip J also showed a straight face to trainees, “Are you kidding me?“
At the end of the preview, Hui, a member of idol group Pentagon, appeared and drew attention.
Hui expressed his sincerity, “I wanted to hear that ‘You’re doing a good job’. I’ve been living on stage for more than 10 years now.“
On the evaluation stage, he passionately sang “Shut Down” by BLACKPINK, the group which debuted in the same year with Pentagon, and even showed tears at the end of the video.
Netizens left comments such as “Mnet is going to provoke problems again“, “I think this audition program will be a hit“, “It looks like ‘Produce’ has revived“…
Mnet’s “Boys Planet”, which attracted a lot of attention just by releasing the preview, will premiere at 8 PM on Feb 2nd.
The program’s MC is Hwang Min Hyun, who successfully debuted with Wanna One after appearing on “Produce 101 Season 2”.
