Former After School member Lee Joo-yeon confessed that she wants to get married
On June 26th, a video featuring Lee Joo-yeon was posted on the YouTube channel “No Back Tak Jae-hoon”.
In the video, when asked if she felt overshadowed after Uee joined After School, Lee Joo-yeon confidently said, “No. Uee was more publicly recognized, but I had many hidden fans.”
Lee Joo-yeon shared, “I actually graduated from Dongduk Women’s University before joining After School. I still get along well with the members. The older ones have become moms, and the younger ones are doing well. Recently, I filmed a movie titled ‘Kimchi’, where I play the role of a photographer. It hasn’t been released yet.“
She continued “I previously appeared in the movie ‘The King’. I played the video protagonist with senior Jo In-sung. That scene was composited. We filmed separately“, surprising viewers.
She admitted to having variety show fright, saying, “There are times when my mind goes blank, and I’ve made mistakes on variety shows during such moments. I don’t remember much now, not even the criticisms.”
Lee Joo-yeon said, “Nowadays, I prefer hearing ‘you look young’ rather than ‘you’re pretty’. I often go to jjimjilbang (Korean dry sauna) alone. Once an older lady remarked on how young people today have such good figures. I told her, ‘Ma’am, I’m actually quite old.’“
She recounted an encounter with a shaman while eating, saying, “When I was eating, there was someone I knew next to me. That person was eating with a shaman. The shaman stared at me intensely, and I didn’t avoid eye contact. The shaman said, ‘You need to play a ‘crazy X’ character. You will excel in villain roles.’“
Lee Joo-yeon, who said her personal talent is to seduce men, talked about her dating rumors, “I’ve worked hard at both my career and love life. I don’t pay much attention to others’ opinions. Now that I’m older, I want to settle down and get married. I’ve had my fun and now I want to find a good man. I want to marry someone fit and kind. I’m in good shape myself. I want to live in a spacious house. I just like everything to be big. And looks matter too.“
She added, “Work used to be my top priority, but now love is number one. I’ll pursue love once I have everything else in place.”
