Married couple Song Joong Ki – Katy Louise Saunders went on a movie date after announcing their marriage and pregnancy.
As reported by Money Today on Feb 9th, Song Joong Ki visited the Megabox COEX store located in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul around 9 pm Kst on Feb 8th with his wife Katy and her family.
The Megabox COEX branch the two visited is about 20 minutes away from Song Joong Ki’s newlyweds house in Itaewon, and has special cinemas which provide top service inside the theaters.
In particular, Katy’s family members were also present. It is known that Katy’s family is staying with Katy to help with stability and household chores during her pregnancy.
On this day, Song Joong Ki prioritized comfort by matching casual clothes with a white hat, and Katy and her family showed off their fashion sense by wearing coats. Although Song Joong Ki kept some distance from Katy on the escalator, he kept his eyes fixed on Katy and showed affection.
The obligation to wear masks indoors in Korea was lifted from Jan 30th, but Song Joong Ki and Katy’s family still visited the movie theater wearing masks.
The two have been publicly dating, including attending an acquaintance’s wedding together. As such, it seemed that they were not very conscious of the gazes around them.
Meanwhile, Money Today asked Song Joong Ki’s agency about the couple’s movie theater date, but as of the morning of Feb 9th, the agency has not made any particular statement.
On Jan 30th, Song Joong Ki announced his remarriage and Katy’s pregnancy through his fan cafe. Katy, a British national, studied business administration at the prestigious Bocconi University in Italy. However, she is currently on hiatus from acting.
Katy is currently staying with her mother and Song Joong Ki’s Itaewon house and is reportedly focusing on prenatal education.
