For the first time in career, a song of TWICE was directly banned from broadcasting. What is the reason?

Unfortunately, this is a good song by TWICE, which is considered by netizens to be on par with the title song SCIENTIST.

On November 12, TWICE officially made a comeback with the 3rd full album in their career called Formula Of Love: O+T=<3 and the title song SCIENTIST.  This is TWICE‘s second comeback in Korea in 2021 after the album “Taste Of Love” in June, a new breakthrough in music style from the JYP girl group.

The album includes 17 tracks with high music quality.  However, for the first time in history, a TWICE song was banned from broadcasting.

Specifically, KBS announced a ban on broadcasting the song ICON from TWICE‘s new album Formula of Love: O+T=<3.  The reason why KBS banned ICON is because “The lyrics have obscene language, vulgar and inappropriate expressions”.  Except for ICON, the remaining 16 songs on the album have passed KBS’s censorship round.

TWICE is known for their good girl image, so the fact that one of their songs was banned due to obscene lyrics shocked fans. But, more importantly, many people believe that ICON is as good as the title song SCIENTIST, so it’s a pity that it was banned.

  • Really? ICON also deserves to be the title track. It’s as good as SCIENTIST.
  • Too bad for ICON, the music is so catchy.
  • Wow, so there won’t be a stage for ICON.
  • This is the first time in TWICE’s history that a song of theirs has been banned from broadcasting.
  • TWICE’s new turning point.
