Following “King of Active Singer”, BIGBANG Daesung invited to become master of “Trot Girl in Japan”
Daesung has been specially invited as the master for the Japanese version of “Burning Trotman”, titled “Trot Girl in Japan”
Scheduled to air on December 8th, “Trot Girl in Japan” is a program produced by Fuji TV’s subsidiary “Nextep” and nCH Japan. The show will be simultaneously broadcast on three channels, including Fuji TV, Wowow and Japan’s largest platform Abema.
The top 7 trot girls from “Trot Girl in Japan” will compete against the top 7 from MBN’s “King of Active Singer”, which will be broadcast in the second half of the year, and the “Korea-Japan Trot King of Songs” to be held in 2024. With keen interest focusing on which singers will participate in this unprecedented “Trot Battle between Korea and Japan”, the attention is intense.
In connection to this, Daesung, following Shin Yu, has been selected as the master for both Korea’s “King of Active Singer” and Japan’s “Trot Girl in Japan”, garnering significant attention. Since his debut in 2007, Daesung has been active in Japan, becoming the first foreign artist to hold Tokyo Dome concerts for 5 consecutive years from 2013 to 2017. In 2016, he even recorded the highest audience attendance in concert calculations, including Japanese artists.
Daesung’s outstanding career, as well as his popularity and musical influence, were recognized by the program, leading to the active proposal for him to take on the role of the program’s master. Daesung readily accepted, and with this, a special journey encompassing both Korea and Japan has been decided.
During the recording of the first episode of “King of Active Singer”, Daesung showcased his excellent entertainment skills, utilizing the listening ear and keen eyes developed through his activities as a member of a global K-POP group. As Daesung previously stated about joining “King of Active Singer” “I will do my best to be of great help“, many are now curious about his determination for “Trot Girl in Japan” and his contributions to elevating the status of “Global K-Trot”.
