FIFTY FIFTY fans call for album boycott amid lawsuit controversy

Fans are concerned that the lawsuit will prevent FIFTY FIFTY from receiving compensation from album sales.

The official website of FIFTY FIFTY has unexpectedly announced that they will be accepting pre-orders for the mini album “The Beginning” of the group. The album is set to be released on September 22nd. However, instead of receiving words of support, this post has received a series of criticisms from FIFTY FIFTY’s fans.

The reason is that the four girls are currently entangled in a lawsuit with their management company, ATTRAKT. In the initial mediation session, both parties have not reached a common agreement. This implies that the lawsuit will prolong, and the compensation for their global hit song “Cupid” continues to be “frozen,” unable to be settled.

As a result, FIFTY FIFTY’s fans have decided to alert the audience and simultaneously call for a boycott of the album to avoid troubles for the idols. The fans are concerned that with the ongoing lawsuit, the members won’t be able to receive compensation from album sales.

Before FIFTY FIFTY, LOONA also faced a similar unfortunate situation. When LOONA’s members were caught in a legal dispute with their management company, BlockBerry Creative, the fan community also decided to completely boycott, refraining from purchasing albums and listening to music as a way to support the idols’ battle.

In the case between FIFTY FIFTY and the ATTRAKT company, the company’s side hopes for the members to return. However, the representatives of the four girls are still holding their ground, stating that the company did not fulfill its obligations according to the original contract.
