On March 11th, Funky Studio, the production company of survival show “Fantasy Boys”, issued a statement which said, “Please refrain from spoilers for ‘Fantasy Boys’”.
Previously on March 8th, “Fantasy Boys” held an event where fans could take photos of the participants, drawing keen attention even before the start.
After the shooting on the 8th, SNS and community photos of the “Fantasy Boys” filmed by fans were released, leading to increased interest in broadcast information, such as the location of the filming and the participants. In response, the “Fantasy Boys” had to ask audiences to refrain from making excessive spoilers.
As previously announced, “Fantasy Boys”, which is gathering huge attention everyday, will be aired simultaneously in Korea (on MBC) and Japan (on OTT platform Abema TV), proving strong international popularity. The show is a follow up of MBC’s “My Teenage Girl”, which is produced by PD Han Dong Chul, and aims to select members for a global boy group.
On the other hand,”Fantasy Boys” has attracted applicants from all over the world, and is gaining attention as a “killer content” by rising to real-time trends on Twitter in Korea and Japan. At the same time, as photos of participants heated up SNS, expectations for the first broadcast of “Fantasy Boys” are rising.
Meanwhile, “Fantasy Boys” will premiere on MBC and Abema TV at 10 p.m. on March 23rd.
