RIIZE’s Wonbin recently became topic of discuss due to a “height controversy”
After his debut with RIIZE, Wonbin has attracted massive attention, becoming one of the hottest 5th generation male idols. With outstanding visuals and decent skills, he is also adored and praised by fans and the public alike.
However, it seems that Wonbin’s popularity has led to several unwarranted criticisms, including a recent “height controversy”.
In particular, a topic titled “RIIZE’s Wonbin’s Height Controversy” was published on the Korean platform Pann Nate on December 18, garnering over 160,000 views and almost 500 comments.
The topic in question attached various footage of Wonbin next to fellow idols and RIIZE members, most of the time looking noticeably shorter.
Regarding this topic, many fans have stepped up to defend Wonbin, stating that criticizing the idol for his height is ridiculous, considering that the male idol have no control over it.
Many of the footage are selected to intentionally make Wonbin look smaller, several people also claimed, pointing out Wonbin was either not standing straight in some photos or standing next to the tallest members of his group.
In fact, RIIZE is known to be the shortest member of his group, estimated to stand around 170-175cm tall (5’7-5’9). Meanwhile, the rest of RIIZE’s height falls into the 178-187cm (5’1-6’2) range.
