Jo Yongpil: Ji Changwook
Yongpil, a forecaster at the Jeju Island Meteorological Agency, is a famous “stubborn” figure even at the headquarters. He challenges the forecasts issued by the headquarters every time and even confronts the head of the agency. After losing his mother and pursuing his dream of becoming a forecaster, he passionately protects and loves Jeju Island, especially the precious samchun (a Jeju term used to address adults regardless of gender) of his hometown Samdalri. He continues to actively work as the stubborn forecaster to protect them.
Jo Samdal: Shin Hyesun
Samdal, who dreamed of leaving the island from a young age as a famous photographer, endured 8 years of challenging assistant life in the fashion photography industry in Seoul under the pseudonym Jo Eunhye. However, the tower she built with so much effort collapses in a moment, and she finds herself surrounded by reporters, shedding tears alone in an empty exhibition hall. With a wounded heart, Samdal returns to her hometown, Jeju Island. By her side is Yongpil, a forecaster at the Jeju Meteorological Agency and Jo Samdal’s partner arranged by Samshin Halmaeng. He is expected to silently support her and help her heal as she returns to her hometown.
Jo Jindal: Shin Dongmi
The eldest of the three sisters, Jo Jindal is a righteous alpha girl who, during her school days, shook the entire school with her sense of justice. Although she is a hero-like figure who cannot tolerate injustice, her actions sometimes make life difficult for her younger sisters.
Jo Haedal: Kang Mina
The youngest of the three sisters, she grew up with the love of her sisters Samdal and Jindal, and despite facing hardships at a young age, she remains a bright and cheerful child with no dust on her. Renowned actress Kim Mikyung plays the role of the three sisters’ mother.
According to Ji Changwook, “If Samdal is a dragon born in a creek, Yongpil is the person who wants to be her creek.” Ji Changwook describes Yongpil as a person who always waits for Samdal, quietly watches over her, and is a person with genuine feelings even without showing off.
Ji Changwook is also excited about the romance with the “Romance Queen” Shin Hyesun. He expressed, “I trusted Shin Hyesun because she has an image that matches so well with Samdal. She is charming in herself without having to create something. So, I tried to treat her comfortably and casually, and as a result, the comfortable and natural humor between Yongpil and Samdal was created.” He conveyed a positive atmosphere on set.
