EXO youngest member Sehun will enlist in the army on December 21st
On December 13th, EXO’s Sehun posted a handwritten letter through the fan community platform Weverse.
Sehun started off by saying, “I am writing this today because I have something to tell you all. I will be fulfilling my military duty starting on December 21st.“
He expressed regret, “I’m sorry for delivering the news to EXO-Ls so late. Lately, I have been spending time alone, reflecting deeply on myself.“
Sehun showed gratitude to the fans, “Thank you to everyone for cherishing me. I hope everyone stays healthy until we meet again. I will also come back in good health.”
EXO members Xiumin, Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, Chen, and D.O. have already completed their military service. Kai enlisted in May of this year and is currently serving as a social service worker. Therefore, EXO is expected to reunite as a complete group after Kai and Sehun’s discharge in 2025.
Sehun’s complete handwritten letter reads:
“Hello, this is Sehun.
I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy.
I have something to tell you, so I am writing this today.
I will be fulfilling my military duty starting on December 21st.
I am sorry for delivering the news to EXO-Ls so late.
Lately, I have been spending time alone, reflecting deeply on myself.
Thus, I cannot show my face to you all directly and say goodbye.
I hope you can understand that I will be leaving without being able to bid farewell to you in person.
Thank you to everyone for cherishing me. I hope everyone stays healthy until we meet again. I will also come back in good health.
