EXID's ELLY mourned the late producer Shinsadong Tiger, with whom she had a connection in the past
On Feb 28th, ELLY shared memories with Shinsadong Tiger through her SNS with the caption, “A person I dislike, a person I’m grateful to. It’s okay as long as you’re comfortable. Farewell. Goodbye.” In addition, a sincerely written letter was also revealed.
In the letter, ELLY expressed, “Lee Ho-yang, who should have been with me in my 20s and 30s. Honestly, I feel so, so resentful. Why is only the word ‘why’ filling my head? As the time we spent together approaches 15 years, I feel resentful towards myself for never asking what burdens you were carrying.”
She continued, “I’m resentful even of you, who never once told me about your burdens. Nevertheless, you were someone I was always grateful to. A person who was so creative. A person who gave me so much inspiration.”
She added, “A person who always seemed okay but looked lonely. When I think of you, you were present in everything in my 20s and 30s. Sometimes, you were someone I truly resented and pitied. I hope the path you’re leaving on is less lonely, less exhausting, less difficult. Although I can’t accompany you on your journey to the afterlife, having you by my side made me feel so steady and happy. I wanted to say it in this letter. A person I dislike. Shinsadong Tiger was found dead in his studio on Feb 23rd. He was 41 years old. He had previously produced numerous hit songs under the name Shinsadong Tiger, including “Roly-Poly”, “Hot Issue”, “NoNoNo” and “Up&Down”.
