1 Year In Remembrance Of Itaewon Crowd Crush Victims Lee Ji-han And Kim Yu-na

A year has passed since the tragic Halloween celebration last year due to the Itaewon disaster

On October 29th, 2022, a crowd crush accident occurred as people flocked to Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, Seoul to celebrate Halloween. The disaster resulted in numerous injuries and 159 victims. The late Lee Ji-han and Kim Yu-na, who were only 25 years old at that time, also died in the accident.

Lee Ji-han appeared on Mnet’s “Produce 101 Season 2”, which aired in 2017. After making his face known to the public, he joined MBC’s Fri-Sat drama “Kokdu: Season of Deity” but passed away in the middle of the filming process. Delivering the sad news, Lee Ji-han’s agency 935 Entertainment said, “Our precious family member, actor Lee Ji-han, has left us and become a star in the sky. We would like to express our condolences to the deceased’s family members who are deeply saddened due to the sudden heartbreaking news and to all the people who love and care for actor Lee Ji-han.”

Kim Yu-na made her debut as a cheerleader for LG Twins cheerleading team in 2016. Since 2018, she has been active as a member of KIA Tigers team.

The Itaewon disaster took away the lives of the two young people. A year after the tragedy, the public is still mourning in remembrance of Lee Ji-han, Kim Yu-na, and many other victims.
