Former T-ara member Soyeon announced that she and Cho Yu Min of Daejeon Hana Citizen have registered their marriage.
On November 14th, T-ara’s Soyeon posted several photos on her Instagram with the caption, “We became a couple on November 1st, and achieved the goal of 11.12 World Cup.” In the photo, Soyeon and Cho Yu Min were taking a photo after registering their marriage.
Soyeon said, “My husband Yu Min told me, ‘Do you remember our promise two years ago? I kept the promise.’ Back then, I said, ‘If Yu Min works hard and becomes a member of the national team and goes to the World Cup, let’s get married.’”
She continued, “On the day we officially became a married couple, just a few days ago, there was a heartbreaking incident,” referring to the Itaewon crushing tragedy. She added, “I wanted to express my sincere condolences, so I couldn’t tell the fans (the marriage news) right away.“
Soyeon said, “We set goals and ran hard together. After two years, Yu Min kept all those promises. I’m truly grateful to Yu Min. We’ll continue to look at the same place as we’ve done so far and live happily in the future. I’ll never forget your support. Thank you.“
In addition, she said, “The wedding you were curious about has been postponed to focus more on the World Cup, as reported.”
“It is an earnest and precious opportunity for us. We ask that you give a lot of support to Cho Yu Min and the Korean national football team,” he added.
Originally, Soyeon and Cho Yu Min were scheduled to get married in November, having announced their wedding earlier this year. However, after Cho Yu Min was added to the World Cup national team, the ceremony was postponed until next year.
Soyeon debuted as the main vocalist of Kpop girl group T-ARA in 2009 and released hit songs such as “Roly Poly” and “What’s Wrong?”. She has been working as a solo singer since her departure from the group in 2017.
Cho Yu Min is a defender for Daejeon Hana Citizen in the K League. He was recently named as the final defender for the Korean national team to attend the Qatar World Cup.
