Former AOA member Kwon Mina revealed her current status in a recent photoshoot and interview
In the interview, Kwon Mina stated, “I’ve started to brighten up from this year.” She expressed her wish to understand herself better over time and shared her thoughts candidly through this photoshoot.
When asked about her current status, she mentioned, “I’ve been living as a ‘yeonbanin’ (a combination of a celebrity and an ordinary person). I’m enjoying it. While preparing for my business, there was a brief interruption due to an unfortunate incident, but I hope to start again, and I hope there will be a lot of interest when I do.“
Regarding her desire to work in the entertainment industry, she said, “I have a desire for everything. Singing, acting, photoshoots, drawing, etc. I want to try them all. Opportunities don’t come easily, so I think I need to pursue that desire step by step with what I can do right now.“
When asked if she experienced a slump in life and how she overcame it, Kwon Mina responded, “I’ve actually been in a slump since 2019, for about 3~4 years. I started to brighten up again this year. It’s hard to explain how to overcome it, but as time passes and the situation improves, it naturally heals. Moving to a new place has also helped. I didn’t believe there was such a thing as ‘house energy’, but after moving, I became so happy, which was quite surprising. It’s not like I did anything special. If I have to say, I’ve been writing diary a lot for a long time.”
When asked about her role model, she replied, “I dreamed of an entertainment career after seeing senior Lee Jung-hyun. I also deeply respect and admire the late senior Lee Eun-joo’s pace and acting atmosphere.“
When asked what kind of person she thinks she is, she confessed, “I’m somewhat reserved and spontaneous. I think the me I imagine is someone who has a deep sense of loyalty and a way of thinking and living that goes beyond common sense. Busan is my hometown, and my friends from kindergarten and elementary school are everything to me. I worked starting from middle school, and in high school, I went through trainee life and made my debut, so I’ve been friends with those people for 20 years. We’re still very close, and we help each other. I think ‘loyalty’ is a word that can describe it all.”
Regarding her ideal type, she shared, “Wherever I go, I’ve always said it’s senior Hwang Jung-min. I think there’s charm in his acting on-screen and his personality in real life, and he looks a bit like my father too.”
About her future plans, Kwon Mina emphasized the importance of living each day without trouble and doing what she wants without being tied down. She expressed her desire to enjoy life, whether it’s going out at dawn, drinking, watching movies or spending money. She aims to live a joyful life.
