“Drug Allegations” Lee Sun-kyun To Be Summoned For Questioning Next Week+Gave 350 Million Won To Cover

Actor Lee Sun-kyun is expected to be summoned for questioning as early as next week to investigate alleged violations of the Narcotics Control Act

According to the police on October 19, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency launched an investigation that there were people taking drugs at an adult entertainment establishment in Gangnam, Seoul. During the investigation, a total of eight people, including Lee Sun-kyun, were suspected of taking drugs, and an internal investigation is underway.

According to Channel A’s report on October 21st, the police will summon Lee Sun-kyun as early as next week to conduct an investigation. They are also considering applying for a search warrant for Lee Sun-kyun’s hair and other examinations.

Channel A said, “It was detected that officials from entertainment businesses contacted Lee Sun-kyun more than 10 times and received 350 million won from Lee Sun-kyun. The police suspect that Lee Sun-kyun gave money to cover up the alleged drug use when he was threatened. Lee Sun-kyun recently filed a complaint with the Incheon District Prosecutors’ Office against a business official and an unnamed person, saying he has been constantly threatened.”

Channel A news reports that Lee Sun-kyun transferred 350 million won to the adult entertainment establishment’s officials, and the official position announced by Lee Sun-kyun’s agency HODU&U Entertainment on the 20th is also being put in the spotlight again. The agency said, “We received constant blackmail and threats from A, a person related to the case, and submitted a complaint to the investigative agency about this.”

The actor did not immediately deny the drug charges and took an ambiguous attitude. The agency said, “We are confirming the exact facts of the allegations that are currently being raised against actor Lee Sun-kyun. He explained that he would like to sincerely engage in investigations by investigative agencies that may proceed in the future with a sincere attitude.”

As a full-fledged police investigation has not yet begun, Lee Sun-kyun has caused all-round inconvenience to movie officials, fellow actors, drama officials and actors who were scheduled to be his co-stars.
