“Doctor Cha” actor Min Woo Hyuk becomes Kim Soo Mi’s restaurant employee in new variety show

Actor Min Woo Hyuk will join Kim Soo Mi in a new entertainment program and transform into a Korean restaurant employee.

According to an official in the broadcasting industry on July 19th, Min Woo Hyuk is currently filming Tcast’s new entertainment program called “ExcuSoomi” in Guam.

“ExcuSoomi” is a food variety show with the concept of actor Kim Sumi, who is a Korean cuisine master, cooking Korean food and personally delivering it to customers in Guam. Kim Sumi’s daughter-in-law, actress Seo Hyo Rim, also join her in the show.

Earlier this year, Min Woo Hyuk gained huge popularity with his charming portrayal of Roy Kim in JTBC’s drama “Doctor Cha”.

Former baseball player Min Woo Hyuk made his musical acting debut through the musical “The March of Youth” in 2013. Since then, he has performed various plays, such as “Les Miserables”, “Aida”, “Wicked”, “Anna Karenina”, “Frankenstein” and “Gwangju”. 

Min Woo Hyuk made his face known to the small screen viewers after starring in JTBC’s “The Third Charm” and MBC’s “Love with Flaws”. He also appeared on entertainment programs, such as KBS2’s “Mr. House Husband”, “The Return of Superman”. The actor plans to participate in a masterpiece musical in the second half of this year.

“ExcuSoomi” is scheduled to premiere in August.
