December Star Brand Reputation Rankings: Son Heung Min boasts unrivaled presence at 1st place, followed by BTS and Song Joong Ki

According to the big data analysis in December 2022, Top 3 in the Star Brand Reputation Rankings were Son Heung Min, BTS and Song Joong Ki.

The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed 232,979,812 star brand big data from November 30th, 2022 to December 31st, 2022, and measured consumers’ behaviors based on the participation index, media index, communication index, and community index of star brands. This is an increase of 13.5% compared to the star brand big data of 206,088,109 in November.

TOP 30 of the December 2022 Star Brand Reputation Rankings were Son Heung Min, BTS, Song Joong Ki, Im Young Woong, NewJeans, BLACKPINK, IU, TWICE, Yoo Jae Suk, Red Velvet, Seventeen, Kim Yuna, NCT, Lee Chan Won, Kang Daniel, Girls’ Generation, Cha Eun Woo, (G)I-DLE, Taeyeon, Kim Min Jae, IVE, Ahn Jung Hwan, Youngtak, Kim Ho Jung, Lee Sung Min, Baek Jong Won, Super Junior, The Boyz, EXO, and Oh My Girl.

Son Heung Min brand, which ranked 1st in the Star Brand Reputation Rankings, was analyzed with a total brand reputation index of 16,286,284, including a participation index of 3,967,931, a media index of 2,973,528, a communication index of 2,930,404, and a community index of 6,414,421. Compared to Son Heung Min brand’s reputation index of 6,434,523 in November, the result in December soared by 153.11%.

BTS brand came in 2nd place with 10,001,486 in brand reputation index. This result included a participation index of 739,663, a media index of 1,963,456, a communication index of 3,230,238, and a community index of 4,068,129. BTS brand increased slightly by 0.80% compared to its November figure of 9,921,620.

No.3 Song Joong Ki brand was analyzed with a total brand reputation index of 8,976,155, including a participation index of 2,846,244, a media index of 1,659,783, a communication index of 1,823,281, and a community index of 2,646,848.

In 4th place, Lim Young Woong brand recorded a total index of 7,247,683 with a participation index of 1,526,112, a media index of 1,097,589, a communication index of 1,631,942, and a community index of 2,992,040. It showed an increase of 19.61% from the previous month’s result.

NewJeans brand, which ranked 5th place, was analyzed with a brand reputation index of 6,725,823, including a participation index of 1,775,931, a media index of 698,820, a communication index of 1,900,163, and a community index of 2,350,909. NewJeans brand recorded an increase of 58.18%.

Koo Chang Hwan, director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, shared, “As a result of big data analysis for Star Brand Reputation Rankings in December 2022, Son Heung Min brand topped the list. Son Heung-min has been active as the captain of South Korea’s national team during the World Cup season. BTS has set various records even with individual activities, while Song Joong Ki received keen attention as the male lead of ‘Reborn Rich’.”
