Rumors about a romantic relationship between BLACKPINK member Rosé and actor Kang Dong Won are circulating online.
On April 16th, an article titled “Revealing evidence that Kang Dong Won and Rosé are dating” was posted on an online community.
The article claims that Rosé and Kang Dong Won are in a romantic relationship, pointing out evidence, such as wearing necklaces with the same design, attending the same events, and hinting at their dating status on Youtube and SNS videos.
Rosé is 27 years old this year, while Kang Dong Won is 43 years old. The two are 16 years apart. In response to the article, netizens show various reactions. Some claim that they witnessed Rosé and Kang Dong Won dating in real life. On the other hand, many others are angry about fake news and speculations surrounding Rosé.
Earlier, Rosé was embroiled in drug use rumors spread by Chinese netizens. Her agency YG Entertainment then announced their plan to take strong legal action against groundless news.
On April 13th, YG stated, “Rumors related to BLACKPINK Rosé circulating on online communities and SNS are obviously not true at all”, adding “The company is taking legal action against acts that violate the artists’ human rights and damage their reputation. We are currently monitoring rumor creators and spreaders, and will respond strongly without compromise or leniency”.
