“Dancing Queens on the Road” audience asked for refund “I went to see Hwasa, but there were only 2 main performances”
“Dancing Queens on the Road” failed to boost the summer night’s heat and rather poured cold water on the audience with its concert.
tvN’s entertainment program “Dancing Queens on the Road” held a concert in Seoul on July 9th.
“Dancing Queens on the Road” is a program of nationwide concert tour with the nation’s top female artists Lee Hyori, Uhm Jung Hwa, BoA, Hwasa and Kim Wan Sun traveling around the country, meeting various fans and having fun together.
Its Seoul concert drew keen attention, just as its ratings increased as the episodes went by.
However, after the concert, some online communities and SNS were flooded with refund requests, not warm reviews.
The audience took issue with viewing time, guest-centered performances, poor stage progress and time arrangement for filming.
The reservation site lists performance information as 150 minutes of viewing time and 55,000 won for all seats. The audience claimed that the production team and the concert side delayed performances only for filming without considering the late time.
Rain, SHINee Taemin, Zico, Red Velvet Seulgi and HyunA stood on stage as guests. The audience also complained about this. They said that the performances of the guests were longer than those of the 5 main characters of “Dancing Queens on the Road”.
The audience expressed disappointment at the fact that the proportion of the guests was greater than that of the main singers, “I went to see Hwasa, but there were only 2 main performances. The guests have more screen time than the main singers?“, “People who went to the concert wanted to see 5 ‘Dancing Queens on the Road’ members, not the guests“…
Besides, complaints such as “I think more security guards should have been placed” poured out.
Some viewers later vented their anger that “Dancing Queens on the Road” might have been used to build up for the next version, the male version of “Dancing Queens on the Road”.
“Dancing Queens on the Road” is running towards the end. PD Kim Tae Ho and the production team’s excessive greed to decorate a spectacular finale resulted in a concert with belly button bigger than belly, only increasing fans’ disappointment.
