“Citizen of a Kind” Ahn Eun-jin “I felt a bit embarrassed after I watched the movie”

On Jan 11th, the press preview of the movie “Citizen of a Kind” (directed by Park Young-ju) took place at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by Ra Mi-ran, Gong Myung, Yeom Hye-ran, Park Byung-eun, Jang Yoon-ju, Lee Moo-saeng, Ahn Eun-jin and director Park Young-ju.

Ahn Eun-jin said, “I joined the ‘Citizen of a Kind’ team at the very end. The other actresses had already met and become close, and they even did script readings before I joined. I was nervous when I first met them, but as soon as I saw them, the tension eased, and we quickly became friends.”

She continued, “Due to COVID-19, the release was delayed, but even after that, I continued to meet other actresses. We still boast a strong bond. We meet, share anecdotes, chat, and when it’s time to shoot, we act together. I have fond memories of shooting, and it feels great to see our intimacy well captured in the film.”

Ahn Eun-jin also discussed her role, which is different from MBC’s drama “My Dearest”, saying, “It was an opportunity to try a different concept, wear different costumes and do different hair & makeup styles. I thought glasses would suit the character. I expressed a desire to play an upbeat role. However, after I watched the movie, I felt a bit embarrassed. I hope viewers find that aspect charming.”

Meanwhile, “Citizen of a Kind” is a delightful chase movie that unfolds when Deok-hee (Ra Mi-ran), an ordinary citizen who falls victim to voice phishing, receives a rescue request from Jae-min (Gong Myung), a member of the voice phishing group. The film is set to be released on Jan 24th.
