Park Shin-hye’s Instagram flooded with negative comments from Chinese netizens after she posted a photo wearing Hanbok
Park Shin-hye has been suffering from malicious comments from some Chinese netizens.
On February 12th, Park Shin-hye posted a photo of her wearing a hanbok that she took for her wedding last month. In the photo, Park Shin-hye was dressed in an elegant green hanbok while holding her chin with one hand and smiling gracefully.
However, after the photo was posted, some Chinese netizens started to target Park Shin-hye with malicious comments, in both Chinese and English, all because she posted a picture of hanbok.
They left comments such as, “Isn’t Hanbok an improvement of traditional Chinese clothing?” and “Hanbok is a costume developed from traditional Chinese clothes.”
They also expressed displeasure with Park Shin-hye in hanbok by leaving several vomiting and thumbs down emojis.
After seeing this, Korean netizens responded, “At this point, I’m tired of swearing,” and “Is there a reason for them to do this under every photo of celebrities wearing hanbok?”
Meanwhile, at the opening ceremony of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, a woman wearing a hanbok appeared as one of China’s ethnic minorities, causing fierce controversy.
In response, many Korean stars, including Han Sang-jin, Lee Jong-hyuk, Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon, and BTS’s Suga, posted photos of themselves wearing hanbok, emphasizing that hanbok belongs to Korea.
