BTS’s Jimin Claims No. 1 Spot as Japan’s Most Popular Male Idol for September, Extending His 8-Month Reign

BTS’s Jimin has once again solidified his immense popularity by being voted the most popular Korean male idol in Japan

BTS Jimin achieved this feat by securing the number one spot in a survey conducted by the Japanese Hallyu media outlet Danmee from September 21st to September 28th. He was chosen as the brightest South Korean male idol who shone in September.

Out of a total of 7,614 votes cast, Jimin received 3,591 votes, accounting for an impressive 47.16% of the votes, securing his place at the top. With this achievement, Jimin has now maintained the number one position from February to September.

This survey selected 21 candidates based on their activity index and brand reputation index in Korea, monthly mentions on Twitter, and article views on Danmee. Each person was allowed to vote only once, making Jimin’s victory all the more significant.

The media outlet highlighted Jimin as BTS’s main dancer and lead vocalist, with his charming smile as one of his most appealing traits. They also mentioned his solo album “FACE,” which was released in March of this year, and his participation as a global ambassador for Dior at the “LADY DIOR CELEBRATION” exhibition.

Jimin’s solo album “FACE” achieved the remarkable feat of becoming a three-time champion on the Oricon weekly rankings for solo artists this year. He also received platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) and achieved the highest performance for a K-pop solo artist on major mid-year music charts in Japan, solidifying his impressive popularity in the country.
