BTS will unveil its new digital single “Butter” stage at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs).
On May 11 (local time), “Billboard Music Awards” announced on the official SNS channel that “BTS will participate as a performer at the “2021 Billboard Music Awards” held on the 23rd”. Thus, they will perform their new single Butter for the first time.
This marks the fourth consecutive year for BTS as a performer at the Billboard Music Awards. BTS first performed “Fake Love” in 2018, drawing attention around the world.
In 2019, they performed “Boy With Luv” with singer Halsey. Last year, they performed “Dynamite” in the background of Incheon International Airport.
BTS was named in four categories at the Billboard Music Awards: “Top Duo/Group”; “Top Selling Song”, “Top Song Sales Artist” and “Top Social Artist.”
The band has set its own record for nominations in the largest number of categories. The Big Hit group is the only Korean artist to be nominated for the 5th consecutive year. BTS has won the award for the fourth consecutive year since it was first nominated for “Top Social Artist” in 2017.
The Billboard Music Awards will air live on NBC from 8 p.m. on May 23 (local time).
