BTS Suga performs “Haegum” for the first time on live U.S. television, draws attention with great sense of humor at the talk show

BTS Suga showed off a splendid performance and witty humor at “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”.

On May 1st (local time), BTS Suga appeared as a solo guest on NBC’s popular late-night show “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”. Suga reunited with Jimmy Fallon after a year and nine months and performed the title song “Haegeum” from his solo album “D-DAY” for the first time on the air.

In working with the live band on the show, the singer drew admiration for his graceful rap and strong stage dominance. “Haegeum” delivered many aspects and shades of Agust D’s emotions on the stage.

In particular, a large LED with graphic images was installed to maximize the grandeur of the performance. The LED screen gradually changed from a simple and abstract sound visualizer to clear images of landscape painting that blew away the audience at the show.

Moreover, in the talk with Jimmy Fallon, Suga also showed off his eloquent skills. Suga and Jimmy Fallon discussed a variety of topics, including the release of “D-DAY”, the making documentary of “SUGA: Road to D-DAY”, and the world tour “SUGA | Agust D TOUR”, which commenced on April 26th.

When asked how he felt about embarking on his solo world tour, Suga replied that he felt happy to have the chance to see his fans again and that he only waited for the day he could perform.

In addition, Suga showed his witty humor through a special corner with Jimmy Fallon. The duo joined an Imposter Challenge where they tasted two different things, and the audience had to guess what based on their reactions. The skit lasted for a total of three rounds. Suga caused laughter by faking a reaction so that the audience could not easily guess.

Meanwhile, Suga will continue his U.S. tour in Rosemont on three dates, May 3rd, 5th and 6th, Los Angeles on May 10th – 11th and 14th, and Oakland on May 16th – 17th.
