Britney Spears: “First Sexual Experience at 15, Living with Justin Timberlake, Abortion in the Bathroom”
Britney Spears talked about her past relationship, breakup, and more with Justin Timberlake in her memoir, ‘The Woman In Me’
In the memoir, the 41-year-old Britney Spears shared stories from her teenage years, including an episode with her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.
“I started dating Justin Timberlake when I was 17, and he was 18. I loved Justin so much and hoped that we would eventually become a family. However, I became pregnant, and Justin did not welcome the news. We weren’t ready to have a baby, and he said we were too young,” she reminisced.
“I didn’t tell my family about the pregnancy or the abortion. The only person, aside from Justin and me, who knew about it was Felicia (Britney’s former assistant), who always supported me,” she revealed.
“On the day of the abortion, in a place with only Felicia and Justin, I took a small pill. Soon, intense cramps began. I lay on the bathroom floor, crying and screaming for hours. The pain was unimaginable, one of the most painful experiences I’ve ever had.”
She continued, “Justin came into the bathroom and lay on the floor with me. At some point, he thought music might help, so he brought his guitar and played it while lying there. Even after that, I was so in love with Justin that I was out of my mind for a while. I was ecstatic about how much I loved him, and it was a tragic event for me.”
Britney also positively portrayed Justin talking openly about their sex life. She said, “While the media and management wanted to portray me as the ‘eternal virgin,’ I had been in a relationship with Justin, living together and having a sexual relationship. Whether I had sex or not, what does it matter?”
Continuing, she recalled, “I was really grateful when Oprah said on her show that my sex life was no one’s business.”
In particular, she confessed that she felt that after breaking up with Justin, the media treated her extremely poorly, while pouring praise on her ex-boyfriend.
In addition, Britney confessed that she was “shocked” to see people around her mention her in the media. “Even if they weren’t cruel, I felt like they were spraying salt on my wound,” she said. “Why could everyone forget so easily that I was such a vulnerable human being that I was bruised in the headlines?”
The memoir also contained sex during her teenage years. She confessed that she had her first sex with her brother’s friend, who is three years older, when she was in ninth grade (15).
Meanwhile, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake dated for about three years from 1999 to 2002.
