BLACKPINK’s ‘Born Pink’ Tour Makes History with Over 1 Million Tickets Sold, 1st Time for an Asian Female Artist

BLACKPINK continues to mark an unprecedented milestone in the history of K-pop, both in South Korea and Asia as a whole, with their world tour.

According to Touring Data, BLACKPINK has sold over 1 million tickets for their 44 concerts as part of their ongoing world tour Born Pink.

This achievement also makes BLACKPINK the first Asian female artist in history to surpass 1 million ticket sales for their tour. What’s even more surprising is that BLACKPINK’s tour is not yet finished, with 20 more shows yet to take place.

This means that BLACKPINK has the potential to further raise their record. Previously, the first tour by a girl group to reach the 1 million ticket milestone was Spice Girls’ Spiceworld tour in 1998.

As of now, with their tour, BLACKPINK has earned the title of the highest-grossing concert tour by a group (earning $9.9 million), surpassing the previous record held by BTS ($9 million). Additionally, BLACKPINK is also the first girl group to exceed $100 million in concert revenue.

Currently, with 44 shows, BLACKPINK has already earned $186.7 million, and there are still 20 more shows to go. The records earned by BLACKPINK through Born Pink are not stopping here.
