According to Korea Investments & Securities, YG Entertainment’s sales will increase significantly thanks to BLACKPINK’s comeback in the 4th quarter of 2021. Moreover, it is said that BLACKPINK is scheduled to hold a concert in 2022
In the report, Park Ha Kyung – a researcher at Korea Investment & Securities – said that YG Entertainment’s revenue and operating profit are expected to be 101 billion and 16 billion KRW, respectively. He continued to state that YG artists’ solo activities are extremely successful, notably BLACKPINK Lisa’s latest solo album, which exceeded 880,000 copies of physical sales.
In 2021, so far, BLACKPINK has not released any new music as a group. The reason is because the group has been focusing on solo activities of the members: Rosé released the debut single album ‘R’ in March, then Lisa made her solo debut with the single album ‘LALISA’ in September.
