As the ‘B-grade horror film maestro,’ Sam Raimi is now poised to create a new iteration of Spider-Man.

On July 24th (local time), ComicBook.com conducted an interview with Thomas Hayden Church.

According to the report, Thomas Hayden Church said, “I heard a rumor that Sam Raimi is making another ‘Spider-Man’ movie with Tobey Maguire.”

He added, “If that happens, I’ll campaign for a cameo appearance.”

Thomas Hayden Church had previously portrayed Flint Marko, the Sandman, in Sam Raimi’s ‘Spider-Man 3,’ which was released in 2007.

Last year, Sam Raimi had revealed in an interview with ComicBook.com, “After making ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,’ I realized that any type of team-up is possible in the Marvel Universe.”

At that time, he expressed his admiration for Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst, saying that everything is possible and showed a positive response to the canceled production of ‘Spider-Man 4.’

He further mentioned, “There are no specific stories or plans, but even just hearing the idea is great. Even if it’s not a Spider-Man movie, I would love to work with Tobey Maguire in a different role.”

Meanwhile, Sam Raimi’s ‘Spider-Man 4,’ which was initially scheduled for release in 2011, was rebooted due to Raimi’s departure, leading to ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ series and eventually culminating in the ‘Spider-Man’ series within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Currently, the MCU is working on the production of ‘Spider-Man 4.’
