Actor Bong Tae-gyu explained why he appeared in a skirt at a recent press conference. It was for his son Shi-ha.
On KBS 2TV’s “Problem Child in House“, which aired on August 3rd, Bong Tae-gyu appeared as a guest and showed off his volubility.
On this day, Kim Jong-kook told Bong Tae-gyu, “You wore a skirt at a press conference.” Bong Tae-gyu replied, “That’s right. It was really cool.”
Bong Tae-gyu confessed, “My son Shi-ha liked different colors when he was young, but the more he grew up, the more he liked blue. He often says, ‘Men should be like this.’ My wife and I dressed our children regardless of gender. So I did it to show Shi-ha that men can wear skirts and do anything.”
Previously, Bong Tae-gyu made headlines for showing skirt fashion at the press conference of SBS’ Monday-Tuesday drama “The Penthouse: War in Life“.
At that time, Bong Tae-gyu wrote on his Instagram, “It was very comfortable. How nice would it have been if I could have worn it earlier? I’m glad that I know skirts’ practicality now. When our Shi-ha is old enough to wear a school uniform, I wonder what it would be like if he had a skirt as one of his options. A child could learn something really important just from the idea that a skirt is something we can choose whether or not to wear.”
He also added a message for his son, “Men can wear skirts, too. It’s even very cool.”
Bong Tae-gyu married photographer Park Hasisi in 2015. They have one son and one daughter.
