“Alienoid” co-stars Ryu Jun Yeol and Kim Tae Ri show off their precious friendship, “We often meet outside of filming”
Following “Little Forest” released in 2018, Ryu Jun Yeol and Kim Tae Ri reunited in the upcoming movie “Alienoid”.
On July 13th, the press conference and press preview for part 1 of the movie “Alienoid” was held at CGV Yongsan in Seoul, with the appearance of director Choi Dong Hoon and the cast, including Ryu Jun Yeol, Kim Woo Bin, Kim Tae Ri, So Ji Sub, Yum Jung Ah, Jo Woo Jin, and Kim Eui Sung.
At the event, Kim Tae Ri talked about her strong friendship with Ryu Jun Yeol. She said, “We have reached a point where we can guess 80-90% of what the other thinks with just our eyes. He is a fellow companion, friend, and actor whom I adore so much.”
Ryu Jun Yeol also revealed how close he and Kim Tae Ri are outside of their schedules, “When we are not filming, Kim Tae Ri and I often meet. We talk and open up about our difficulties and concerns.”
He continued, “I’m not the type to get anxious on set, but Kim Tae Ri is usually worried, so on the first day of filming ‘Alienoid’, Kim Tae Ri was very nervous. She told me, ‘I have somebody to rely on because you are here.’ I felt happy knowing that I could be her strength. Since then, I have been able to film comfortably without any burden.“
Ryu Jun Yeol added, “We worked out together and cheered for each other a lot. Thanks to this, my fears and worries disappeared. It became a driving force for me to enjoy filming.“
Meanwhile, part 1 of “Alienoid” is a movie depicting the story that unfolds as the door of time opens between Taoists who want to take possession of a sword in the late Goryeo Dynasty and those who pursue alien prisoners trapped in human bodies in 2022. It is scheduled to be released in cinemas starting from July 20th.
