Lim Ji-yeon was born on June 23, 1990, Seongdong District, Seoul, South Korea. She attended Korea National University of Arts and is currently an actress.
Career
Lim Ji-yeon debuted as an actress in 2011 through the short film “Dear Catastrophe”. She also appeared in other short films such as “When September Ends” (2013). In 2014, the actress made her feature film debut in the 2014 movie “Obsessed” and gained rapid attention due to an adult scene.
In 2015, Lim Ji-yeon appeared in her first K-drama “High Society”, and later starred in series such as “The Royal Gambler” and “Welcome 2 Life”, mostly as supporting characters. Additionally, at the time, the actress mostly played good and soft characters or those with immense seductive charms.
However, Lim Ji-yeon decided to switch up her image in 2022 by playing the main villain of the Netflix series “The Glory”. As “The Glory” became a global sensation, the actress experienced her career break-through.

As “The Glory” gained global popularity, past controversies of Lim Ji-yeon began to made their rounds across the internet. In particular, the actress was accused of being “condescending” to a staff member while starring in “High Society” back in early 2023.
Additionally, there were also rumors of Lim Ji-yeon being a school bully in the past, but the actress refuted these herself, stating that she was “very pure and ordinary” with extremely normal school days.
Finally, in September 2023, Lim Ji-yeon came under fire for showing her support for “The Glory” co-star Kim Hieora, who was facing school violence allegations.
