Agency denies rumors of Yoo Ah In going to famous Gangnam club during self-reflection period

It is suspected that Yoo Ah In, who is being investigated on drug charges, had visited a famous club in Gangnam

On September 2nd, an article titled, “Yoo Ah In at Gangnam club while being investigated by the Prosecution”, spread on social media and online communities.

The article’s author A posted a photo and said, “Yoo Ah In booked the most expensive seat at the most expensive club in Gangnam today”. The released photo shows the phrase “Yoo Ah In is coming today…” with details of the reservation.

Seeing A’s article, netizens commented, “Is the self-reflecting period the time for celebrities to enjoy these things?”, “So not everyone would go to jail for taking drugs”, “If he doesn’t reflect on himself and keeps clubbing, it would be hard for him to make a comeback”, etc. As of 4 p.m., 512 comments mostly criticizing Yoo Ah In have been posted.

In this regard, an official at Yoo Ah In’s agency firmly denied the rumors in a phone conversation with Sports Seoul, saying “It’s not true at all. Yoo Ah In did not visit any famous club in Gangnam”.

They added “We cannot give a detailed explanation right now, but Yoo Ah In is currently not in Seoul. It is absurd that such false information is spreading”.

Meanwhile, Yoo Ah In was accused of habitually taking 7 types of drugs, such as marijuana, cocaine, ketamine, zolpidem, propofol, and two medical drugs (midazolam and alprazolam). The prosecution said, “We doubted the rejection of an arrest warrant because he took more than seven types of drugs. We decided to proceed with a thorough re-investigation”.
