They mentioned comedian Choi Ji-yong, “When G-Dragon is in a crisis, there’s someone else in a crisis with him.” This is because Choi Ji-yong escaped the obscure life by impersonating G-Dragon’s behavior and speech patterns with his secondary character “GG-Dragon”.
On Oct 25th, below Choi Ji-yong’s Instagram post appeared comments like “What do you eat to live now?” and “You were doing fine, then the main character blocked the way“, which may suggest that these comments were made with the knowledge of G-Dragon being investigated for drug use.
Choi Ji-yong previously worked on SBS’s “People Looking for a Laugh” and tvN’s “Comedy Big League” but did not receive much attention.
However, his impersonations of G-Dragon’s distinctive speech patterns as well as the way he sang songs like “School Bell” and “Plane In The Sky” in G-Dragon’s style helped him rise to stardom.
G-Dragon acknowledged Choi Ji-yong by clicking “like” for his videos. Choi Ji-yong expressed his gratitude, “Thank you, G-Dragon. I love you.“
