SM Concert: Canceled press conference, Super Junior leader hospitalized, the negligence for SNSD
A lot of unhappy news happened at SM’s family concert in Chile.
In two days from 18 to 19 January (local time), SM’s family concert called “SMTOWN Live in Santiago” took place in Chile. Many artists such as BoA, Super Junior, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT DREAM, NCT 127, … have brought their special performances in the cheers of fans.
Before the concert, on January 17, SM’s press conference at a shopping mall was canceled to ensure the safety of the artists because many fans ignored the request of the organizers. They were even too excited to the point that many crossed the barrier and made the scene extremely chaotic.
On January 18, there was another unhappy news for Super Junior fans, that Leeteuk was absent from SM’s concert for health reasons. Specifically, he was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease after being taken to a local hospital. After that, he was asked to rest to quickly recover.
On the same day, fans discovered during that Hyoyeon’s solo performance, the electronic board installed around the main stage showed the words for SNSD’s English name as “Girl’s Generation”. This made the fans unhappy because the English name was “Girls’ Generation” and this showed that SM neglected the work.
