On May 9 and 10, ITZY successfully held two concerts in Japan as part of the group’s ongoing Tunnel Vision world tour. Both shows reportedly sold out quickly, demonstrating the group’s continued popularity in one of the world’s largest music markets.

Throughout the concerts, ITZY delivered energetic live performances, synchronized choreography, and strong stage presence that received enthusiastic responses from both Japanese fans and local media. Audience members filled the venues with loud fan chants and cheers, creating a highly emotional atmosphere.
Following the success of the concerts, the group’s Japanese album Collector suddenly experienced a dramatic rise on the charts. Despite originally being released seven months ago, the album reportedly climbed back to No.1 on Oricon’s daily album sales ranking.
Many fans are calling the achievement a major “reverse run” moment for the group, especially after ITZY faced several years of slowing momentum within the increasingly competitive fourth-generation K-pop landscape.

Debuting in 2019 under JYP Entertainment, ITZY quickly became one of the most successful rookie girl groups of its generation thanks to hit songs such as DALLA DALLA, ICY, WANNABE, and Not Shy.
However, beginning around 2022, public discussions surrounding the group noticeably cooled as newer girl groups dominated charts and online buzz. Several comeback releases struggled to recreate the explosive impact of ITZY’s early years, leading to growing discussions that the group had lost momentum.
The turning point reportedly came earlier this year when the track That’s A No No unexpectedly went viral again through concert clips and social media videos. Fans and casual listeners praised the members’ powerful stage performances, helping the song climb back up Korean music charts in a surprising resurgence.

The renewed attention quickly placed ITZY back in the spotlight after a long quiet period.
Building on the momentum, the group officially returned on May 18 with the mini album Motto. The comeback is already attracting significant attention from fans, with many hoping the release will become a defining turning point in ITZY’s career and fully restore the group’s top-tier status in K-pop.
