During their world tour “TUNNEL VISION,” which began in February, ITZY performed the track “THAT’S A NO NO” for the first time with a full stage performance. Originally released in March 2020, the song was the third track on the album that included ITZY’s hit song “WANNABE.” Known for its addictive Moombahton rhythm, the track had already been a fan favorite within the group’s fandom.
However, the song recently gained wider popularity after the powerful stage performance went viral online. True to their reputation as “performance queens,” dance challenge videos featuring the track quickly spread across social media platforms.
Not only ITZY members but also fellow K-pop artists joined the challenge, including TWICE’s Momo and Jihyo, KickFlip’s Kyehoon and Keiju, ZEROBASEONE’s Zhang Hao, and Lee Chaeyeon, the older sister of ITZY’s Chaeryeong. Even JYP Entertainment founder Park Jin Young showed interest in the trend. After sharing Chaeryeong’s challenge video on his personal social media account, he wrote: “Why does my body feel so restless?”

ITZY’s leader Yeji responded playfully in the comments, asking, “Is something big coming?” while Chaeryeong jokingly added, “Producer, where are you? I’ll come right away.” The song’s popularity has also been reflected in its performance on streaming platforms and video charts. A full-cam video of the performance ranked No.1 on YouTube’s daily trending videos chart in Korea on March 8 and surpassed 3.61 million views as of March 13.

Meanwhile, on the Korean music platform Melon, the song entered the chart at No.961 on March 2 before climbing sharply to No.191 by March 11, showing a clear upward trend. Thanks to the renewed attention, ITZY is even set to perform the song on music shows, despite it being released years ago.
The group will appear on Mnet’s “M Countdown” on March 19 to present the performance and respond to the unexpected surge in popularity.
