Jang Geun-suk Flustered By Heo Young-man’s Sudden Marriage Nagging, “I Can’t Do It Now”

Actor Jang Geun-suk was caught off guard as Heo Young-man suddenly asked him to get married and have children

The new episode of TV Chosun’s “Heo Young-man’s Food Travel”, which aired on February 23rd, featured the guest appearance of actor Jang Geun-suk.

Heo Young-man said, “I don’t watch TV usually, but I know Jang Geun-suk. I enjoyed watching ‘Beethoven Virus’ until the end. I thought you would look the same”. When Jang Geun-suk asked, “Did I change a lot?”, Heo Young-man said, “Your face has darkened. You look like someone who has just worked in the field”.

Receiving a question about marriage, Jang Geun-suk burst into laughter and replied, “I want to get married but can’t do it now”.

Heo Young-man complained, “Korea is in chaos because people can’t have children. Please help the country overcome the low birth rate issue.” Jang Geun-suk commented, “I suddenly feel like going home on holiday”.

Heo Young-man continued asking, “Have you ever thought about the reason you should become an actor while doing acting activities?”.

Recalling when he played difficult scenes in SBS’s drama “The Royal Gambler” such as chewing crabs on the mudflat, eating live snakes, climbing up and down the mountain several times and facing tigers, Jang Geun-suk said, “I have lived a hard-working life for 32 years”.

Regarding his band activities, he said, “I used to be active as a singer in Japan a long time ago. It was burdensome to do only commercial music, so I formed a band to do music as a hobby. The band was called ‘Chimiro’. If there was no concert venue, we would suddenly perform live at the stone wall next to Deoksugung. If someone recognized me, I would ask them to listen to our songs, if they didn’t, I would sing until they do”.

Hearing that, Heo Young-man said, “You’re trying to do everything good for yourself”. Jang Geun-suk laughed and said, “That’s why life is tiring”.
