4 K-dramas that cause the actors to hard carry the disappointing plots

If it weren’t for the actors, perhaps the viewers would not be patient enough to finish the following Korean dramas!

1. Penthouse

Season 1 of “Penthouse” quickly became a hit thanks to its engaging plot, season 2 still somewhat lives up to the expectations, but according to most viewers, season 3 of the series is a disappointment. The audiences are fed up when the writer keeps trying to prolong the storyline with absurd details, illogical twists that turn “Penthouse” into a science fiction series. The cast of “Penthouse” is highly appreciated for their efforts to carry the series on their backs up to 3 seasons.

2. My Roommate is a Gumiho

As the drama marks the return of “Duk Sun” Hyeri to the small screen, “My Roommate is a Gumiho” received much anticipation before its broadcast. However, the drama ends up getting negative reviews for its boring storyline. The only good part is probably the main couple’s sweet chemistry and the male lead Jang Ki Yong’s acting.

3. Hwarang

“Hwarang: The Beginning” was expected to be a hit drama but turned out to be one of the most disappointing series of 2017. Owning a perfect cast lineup with talented actors such as Go Ara, Park Seo Joon, Park Hyung Sik, Choi Min Ho and V (BTS), “Hwarang” still failed to impress the audiences because of its boring and unreasonable stories. In addition, this drama also received bad reviews criticizing the characters’ images. It seems like the only thing that kept the viewers watched till the end of this drama was its wonderful cast.

4. My Sassy Girl

SBS’s drama “My Sassy Girl” was a remake version of the famous movie of the same name starring Cha Tae Hyun and Jeon Ji Hyun. However, the appearance of Oh Yeon Seo and the “king of ratings” Joo Won couldn’t help this drama impress the audiences since the script was criticized for its outdated storyline and excessive details.
