On the afternoon of April 25, Korean media and international social media continued to buzz as Min Hee-jin – the “mother of NewJeans” and CEO of NewJeans’ agency ADOR, held a press conference to officially announce her stance on the dramatic feud between ADOR and HYBE Labels.
Amid various developments and revelations made throughout the over 2-hour press conference, netizens were intrigued to see a K-pop song suddenly rising on charts for being somewhat relevant to the event.
Specifically, aespa’s song “Drama” was ranked #36 on the MelOn chart before Min Hee-jin’s press conference. However, immediately after the press conference ended, the hit song of the SM girl group soared to #22.
It is known that during the press conference, Min Hee-jin shocked everyone by revealing a message from Bang Si-hyuk asking her, “Can you trample on aespa?”
