Chinese actress Zhao Lusi has shocked fans after publicly accusing her management company, Galaxy Cool Entertainment, of severe mistreatment, financial exploitation, and emotional abuse.
In a personal post shared on August 2, Zhao Lusi revealed the extent of her ongoing dispute with the agency, making headlines across China and sparking heated discussions online.
“You don’t need to ban me. I’m not doing this anymore,” Zhao Lusi wrote, directly confronting her agency.
Contract Dispute and Allegations Against Galaxy Culture
Zhao Lusi disclosed that two years ago, she unknowingly signed a contract extension with Galaxy Cool Entertainment, tying her to four more years under their control. Since then, she claims the company has subjected her to manipulation and threats. When she suffered from a serious, unexpected illness, she had to scale back work commitments and cancel endorsement deals. Although the agency initially promised to share responsibility, Zhao Lusi stated she was ultimately forced to pay all penalties herself.
Worse still, the actress alleged that her personal studio was hijacked by the company, and her entire team was replaced. She claimed Galaxy Cool Entertainment deceitfully transferred 2.05 million yuan (~$280,000 USD) from her assets. Her filming projects were shut down, and the financial burden fell solely on her shoulders.
“They told me I might be blacklisted and to stay silent. Is that their solution? I suggested ending the contract, and they gave excuses about personal family issues. I’ve already decayed inside. I’ve lost my dignity, but I won’t let them blacklist me—I’m quitting,” Zhao Lusi vented in her post.

Zhao Lusi also shared two medical reports confirming she suffers from anxiety and mild depression, resulting from overwork and prolonged stress. Her statement hinted that she regretted not reporting her previous agency to the police earlier, which could have prevented her current predicament.

Zhao Lusi ’s health issues first surfaced in late 2024 when she experienced loss of speech and mobility, forcing her to halt filming and cancel public appearances.
