Younha gets her first music show win after 15 years with chart-topping song “Event Horizon” 

Younha’s “Event Horizon” won No.1 on Inkigayo. 

On SBS’s Inkigayo aired on November 27th, Younha won first place with the title song “Event Horizon” from her 6th repackage album “END THEORY: Final Edition” released in March. 

“Event Horizon”, which re-entered the Melon Top 100 chart at No. 98 on October 4th, climbed to No. 1 on the chart on November 6th.

On November 19th, “Event Horizon” topped Melon, Genie, Bugs, Vibe, Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, etc., sweeping the top spot one after another and recording an all-kill on the charts. In particular, it has ranked #1 on Melon for 23 consecutive days, Bugs for 20 consecutive days, Genie for 27 consecutive days, Vibe for 22 consecutive days, as well as YouTube Music, Apple Music, and Spotify in Korea for a long time.

In the midst of such popularity, Younha won No.1 on SBS Inkigayo without appearing, 243 days after the song’s release.

Through her agency, Younha expressed her overwhelming feelings, “I never expected to win first place on a public channel music show. These days, every day feels like my birthday. It’s my first Inkigayo trophy in 15 years. I’ll do my best to greet you with good music in the next 15 years.” .

“Event Horizon” is a song that contains the goodbyes of a good day and cheers for a new beginning. Younha participated in writing and composing the lyrics herself.  Starting with word-of-mouth through university festivals and various festivals that resumed this year, the song has been added in Korean listeners’ playlists and is receiving a lot of love.

Meanwhile, Younha will hold the ‘2022 Younha Year-end Concert 〈c/2022YH〉’ at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Seoul from December 2nd to 4th.
