Yoo Yeon Seok, “I adopted an abandoned dog after filming ‘My Heart Puppy’. I applied for adoption without revealing my job as an actor”
Actor Yoo Yeon Seok revealed that he decided to adopt an abandoned dog after filming the movie “My Heart Puppy”.
SBS PowerFM’s “Cultwo Show” radio aired on March 1st features actors Yoo Yeon Seok and Cha Tae Hyun, who recently made a comeback through the film “My Heart Puppy”.
During the broadcast, Cha Tae Hyun mentioned when Yoo Yeon Seok shed tears during the press conference of “My Heart Puppy”. He said, “I didn’t receive questions from the reporters. Yoo Yeon Seok was crying in front of them, so I thought I shouldn’t answer anything. If I did, many articles would come out. Isn’t that weird?”, drawing laughter.
Cha Tae Hyun continued, “I’m not raising any dog, but Yoo Yeon Seok does so he was emotional”, adding “Each dog has a different situation, and at some point, we don’t know when our emotions will explode”.
Yoo Yeon Seok then explained why he cried, saying “I felt sad watching the scene where a dog runs towards me and hugs me.”
In particular, Yoo Yeon Seok surprised everyone when he said he adopted an abandoned dog after filming “My Heart Puppy”. The actor shared, “I used to raise a dog when I was young. Since I’m living independently and alone, I had no courage to raise one. However, I gained courage after filming the movie. After about a year, I decided to adopt one”, adding “I adopted a dog named Rita”.
Kim Tae Kyun asked, “I heard you hid your job as an actor when applying for adoption?”. Yoo Yeon Seok replied, “It’s a little weird to write ‘actor’ in the occupation section. I kept it a secret and submitted the adoption application”, adding “I applied using my real name ‘Ahn Yeon Seok’.”
