Ten’s fandom is conducting a protest against SM Entertainment
On June 28, fans of NCT/WayV/SuperM’s Ten sent a protest truck to the building of SM Entertainment to demand better treatment for the male idol.
With his debut spanning seven years, fans believe that Ten has been severely underutilized and overlooked by SM Entertainment. According to the fans, Ten has been deprived of job opportunities. SM’s mismanagement of Ten’s schedules has further compounded the issue.
One of the biggest problems highlighted by fans is the disparity in promotional efforts between Ten and other members of his groups. While his members receive exposure on various social media platforms, Ten has been left in the shadows, without the fair promotion he deserves.
Fans argue that SM seems more focused on selling goods rather than promoting Ten. They express disappointment with SM’s apparent lack of support for Ten’s performances, even attempting to erase his contributions to NCT.
Another pressing concern is the limited Korean media coverage of Ten. Additionally, rushed schedule announcements contribute to a diminished space for fan interaction.
Fans also call for SM to allow Ten to showcase his talents on platforms like TikTok or release solo dance covers, which would provide him with the opportunity to captivate a wider audience.
