Vagabond, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and K-dramas with future plans for season 2
Will the audience get to watch new seasons of these famous dramas in the near future?
Earlier this year, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’s screenwriter, Baek Mi Kyung created a stir by revealing that she has started working on the script for the second season of the beloved rom-com that aired in 2017. She also shared that she would try to get the lovely couple Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Sik to reunite, and continue the story at the end of season 1 after the main couple get married and have twin daughters.
Fans of Strong Woman Do Bong Soon cannot get any happier with this information. The drama was a hit when it came out thanks to its fun, unique storyline and especially the two leads’ adorable chemistry. Although nothing is officially confirmed regarding the production of season 2 yet, with a script underway, viewers can totally set their expectations for Strong Woman Do Bong Soon to be renewed.
Another drama that is rumored to get a season 2 is Netflix’s action-thriller Vagabond starring Lee Seung Gi and Suzy. Global viewers have been looking forward to Vagabond season 2 getting a green light at Netflix for over 2 years because 16 episodes of the first season end on such a cliffhanger ending.
Although there are still no official reports on season 2, there is still a high chance production for season 2 is coming soon because according to Lee Seung Gi himself, it’s not possible for Vagabond to end with only one season and the decision is entirely up to the audience and the production crew. Moreover, if opportunity arises, the actor will be willing to return.
With Vagabond’s popularity and constant requests from the audience for season 2, hopefully the producers will not let us down and soon continue Cha Dal Gun’s revenge journey and his reunion with Go Hae Ri.
A drama that has been confirmed for season 2 is Taxi Driver. This is one of the most popular SBS dramas in 2021. The story of eradicating evils of highway heroes disguised as taxi drivers has brought extremely interesting footage to viewers.
This is probably the fastest project to confirm a season 2 among Korean dramas. Season 2 will officially start filming in 2022.
Besides, many people hope that Moon Lovers will soon return with season 2, however, disappointingly there has not been any news about this project. The drama’s story is still unfinished and can be fully exploited in the next part. Actors of the drama such as Lee Jun Ki and IU have also shown that they are always willing if the producer wants to make a sequel. IU even once revealed that the scene that was cut at the end was a modern day scene.
More importantly, the original of this work, Scarlet Heart, also had season 2 with a modern setting. So, if Moon Lovers really has season 2, surely fans of the couple Hae Soo and Wang So will be very happy.
