Actress Bona revealed that Kim Tae-ri, whom she worked with in “Twenty-Five Twenty-One”, is her role model.
In a recent video interview with TV Daily, Bona told the story of tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Twenty-Five Twenty-One” (written by Kwon Do-eun/directed by Jung Ji-hyun), which ended on April 3rd.
“Twenty-Five Twenty-One” is a drama depicting the wandering and growth of young people who lost their dreams in the 1998 era. Bona played the role of Ko Yu-rim, a member of the national fencing team. As a rival of the main character Kim Tae-ri, their “woman-to-woman” romance was loved by viewers.
Bona opened up about her senior Kim Tae-ri, “First of all, she was very nice and helped me a lot. Don’t you get a lot of energy if you act while looking into each other’s eyes? I also thought that I wanted to give back as much energy as she gave me. Our chemistry was great. No matter how I acted, she accepted it well, so I think I was able to film comfortably thanks to her.”
Bona, who repeatedly emphasized “I really liked her”, said, “After seeing Kim Tae-ri, I thought for the first time ‘I want to become that kind of adult.'” Bona talked about Kim Tae-ri, “She takes good care of people around her and does her job very well. I thought I had been working hard so far, but looking at her, I had a feeling that what I did might not have been the best.”
When asked about her role model as an actress, Bona expressed her respect towards Kim Tae-ri, “I haven’t thought deeply about it, but after seeing Kim Tae-ri, it was the first time I thought that I wanted to become such an adult, I wanted to become such a senior.” She added, “When I looked into Kim Tae-ri’s eyes while acting, I could see how she felt. That’s how I wanted to act. An actor who could convey emotions through his eyes without saying anything looked so cool. Also, she is a wonderful person who does her best, so I thought that I would like to become an adult like her.”
